Keith specialises in dispute resolution and litigation in the media, music, television and film industries.
On behalf of the firm’s high profile clients, he regularly advises in respect of all media related issues including defamation, breach of confidence and privacy. He also represents the Press Complaints Commission. Keith has expertise in a broad range of music, film and television related disputes including management and band disputes, publishing disputes, audit claims, memorabilia disputes, breach of contract disputes and intellectual property infringement (copyright and trade marks).
He also regularly advises and represents clients involved in commercial disputes.
Keith Ashby is the author of numerous articles on media and entertainment related matters which have appeared in publications including The Times, New Law Journal and Civil Justice Quarterly, one of which was cited by Lord Hoffmann in Naomi Campbell -v- MGN Limited.
