Cleo has a broad base of corporate experience and advises on all types of corporate transactions and corporate finance, including public and private mergers and acquisitions and equity offerings, joint ventures and reorganisations, as well as providing general company commercial, corporate, strategic and corporate governance advice.
Cleo represents clients across a variety of business sectors including media, technology, financial institutions, life sciences, telecommunications and energy and infrastructure.
Notable deals Cleo has been involved in include:
- Advising the shareholders of Pioneer Productions Media Group Limited in connection with the sale of their shares to Tinopolis Limited;
- Advising For-side.com on the sale of iTouch to a private-equity-backed management team for $100 million and the subsequent re-sale of iTouch to Buongiorno for €141 million;
- Advising Advanced Power AG on a €31.5 million agreement to invest by 3i;
- Advising Sinclair Pharma plc, previously admitted to AIM, on its introduction to the Official List and to Eurolist by Euronext Paris;
- Advising IX Europe plc on its AIM IPO with an initial market capitalisation of £42 million and advising Synchronica plc on its AIM IPO with an initial market capitalisation of £25 million;
- Advising Panmure Gordon Limited on the AIM IPO of Amiad Filtration Systems Limited with an initial market capitalisation of £25 million.
In 2007, Cleo spent six months on secondment with the corporate legal team of Barclays Bank PLC as in-house legal counsel.
Cleo read law at University College London, graduated in 2001 and completed her legal practice course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. Cleo trained and qualified into the corporate and commercial department of Simmons & Simmons and joined Sheridans in 2009. Cleo speaks fluent Modern Greek.
