Sale of Complete Music Limited to BMG Music Publishing

We have advised shareholders, Iain McNay, Martin Costello and Cherry Red Records Limited, on the sale of music publishing company, Complete Music Limited to BMG Music Publishing Limited.

The Complete Music catalogue comprises of classic songs from artists such as The Stranglers, The Buzzcocks, Everything But The Girl and Primal Scream.

The Sheridans team involved in this deal consisted of both the Media and Corporate divisions with Russell Roberts and Claire Lewis dealing with the music aspects of the transaction, and Charlotte Fox leading the Corporate team.

Our firm includes artist clients such as Kylie Minogue, Natasha Bedingfield, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Robbie Williams and< Peter Gabriel – and is widely known for our entertainment work and this transaction is the latest in a series of sales of music publishing companies on which the firm’s Corporate and Entertainment divisions have worked in tandem, pooling their considerable expertise in this area.
