Sheridans Appoints Leading UK Sports Expert
Morris Bentata joins Sheridans, the leisure, media and entertainment specialists, as a Partner specialising in Sports and Media.
A leading sports and media expert, Morris has extensive experience in advising clients on the creation, acquisition, exploitation and protection of media and marketing rights to premium sports properties across a range of sports.
His work has covered some of the most prominent rights deals in sport and has included advising major national and international sports governing bodies, event organisers, individuals, agencies, sponsors and broadcasters on all matters relating to commercial sports rights.
The sports section of the Legal 500 describes Morris as a ‘star’ and says ‘clients are quick to praise’ him. He is the author of the Broadcasting and New Media chapter of the leading sports law textbook Sport: Law and Practice (Lewis & Taylor) and is a Director of the British Association of Sport and the Law (BASL).
His appointment at Sheridans will further consolidate both the Firm’s position in its media, leisure and entertainment practice and the growing synergy between all sports related areas in these fields.
